This week is Paraprofessional Recognition Week for the State of Minnesota. Our paraprofessionals at ZM are ELITE, and I am grateful for the work they do with our students. Our paraprofessionals are an essential part of the ZM school community, and we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of paraprofessionals that prioritizes creating positive relationships with our students.

Due to temperatures forecasted to be dangerously cold in the area, Tuesday, January 21st, Zumbrota - Mazeppa Schools will be CANCELED.
Tomorrow will NOT be a Weather Impacted Learning Day (WILD).
All ZM basketball games with Pine Island will continue as scheduled.
For information related to tomorrow's hockey game, please keep an eye out for an update from Red Wing Schools.
Cougar Care and Bright Beginnings will open at 7am and close at 4pm.
There is no preschool tomorrow and all Community Education classes are canceled.

The 75th Annual Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther Collegewas held on January 12-13th. Six Zumbrota-Mazeppa students were selected to attend the festival. Congratulations to Autumn Finstuen, Vanessa Minter, Reagan Rasmussen, Gage Sorby, Kendale Guest, and Alexander Schwingle.

{YEL!} Video Game Creation - Force Warriors: Heroes of the Rebellion - K-2nd grade
The legend of the Force Warriors lives on...through you! Students design their own Knights of the Rebellion, chart a course across the galaxy, and create their own epic duel with the infamous Dark Knight. Students leave class with their own video game creations.

Cougar wear orders need to be picked up Wednesday, December 11th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in front of the Zumbrota District Office. Please enter the parking area between the Primary and High School buildings and pull up to the District Office entrance. Please be patient as you wait in line for your order.. Someone will meet you at your car and then bring the order to you.
It would be greatly appreciated if you make every effort to pick up your order at this time, or have someone else pick it up for you. We want to minimize the number of extra people in the building during regular hours.

The ZM Pre-Engineering/Manufacturing class is creating personalized key hangers as their capstone project this year.
