Good afternoon, Zumbrota - Mazeppa families, Students and Staff,
This is Ryan Barnick, Superintendent of ZM Schools. I know it's important for families to have as much planning time as possible when our school days are altered. Thus, in an effort to help you and your family plan accordingly, I wanted to send out an update this afternoon. Due to forecasted extreme weather conditions for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5th, Zumbrota - Mazeppa Schools will not have classes at any school. However, tomorrow is our first Weather Impacted Learning Day (WILD). If you have any questions related to WILD Day protocol, please reach out to your classroom teacher or principal. Tonight's Parent Athlete Coaches meeting will still take place as scheduled, but anticipate it will be shorter than usual to ensure a safe trip home for everyone.
Additionally, please note that due to a predicted blizzard warning for the area tonight through tomorrow afternoon, Cougar Care and Bright Beginnings will be closed tomorrow.
There is no preschool tomorrow and all Community Education classes are canceled.
All other updates, delays, or cancellations affiliated with the school will be posted to the ZM website, app, and social media.
Thank you. Be safe, Cougars!

Some of our sophomores attended the Futureforward career fair in Cannon Falls to learn more about opportunities in the skilled trades.

Reminder: The Spring PAC meeting is tonight at 6:30pm in the ZMHS Auditorium.
Students (and their parents) interested in participating in baseball, golf, softball and track are encouraged to attend.

Our 2nd Grade students had a fantastic field trip to the Children's Theatre to see the play Milo Imagines the World. The performance tells the story of a boy and his sister riding the subway, where he imagines lives for the people around him—only to discover that you can’t truly know someone just by looking at them. The play was a hit, and the students, who prepared by reading the book in advance, were amazed and loved it! A big thank you to the ZM Education Foundation for supporting this field trip. Below is a picture of Mrs. Dreyer's Class!

The 100th day of school! It’s hard to believe how fast time has flown. We had an amazing time celebrating all the learning, growth, and fun we’ve had along the way!

Thank you to the Z-M High School FFA for coming to the Elementary School to have us play some Ag Olympic games. The students had a great time!

Happy FFA Week. Yesterday was the Ag Olympics at ZM!

Our excited 2nd graders are all set for their field trip to the Children's Theatre! Wishing them a fantastic day filled with fun and creativity!
