Congrats to Henry Li and Kason Hill for receiving the ZM Musicianship of the Month Award. Thanks to the Zumbrota State Theatre, these students will each receive two tickets to one of the upcoming events at the State Theatre in Zumbrota. The ZM Music department is so excited to be teaming up to offer this monthly award to our ZM Music Department Students.
Henry Li is a junior. He received this award based upon his leadership in and outside of the classroom. The students trust and respect him as a valuable member of our choir. He always goes above and beyond whether he is helping organize the homecoming float, making cotton candy for our fundraiser, leading his sight reading group or pushing his tenor section to the next level of excellence. Thank you Henry.
Kason Hill is also a junior. He earned this award thanks to his dedication to band and incredible musicianship. He can be found in the band room at a variety of points throughout the day practicing his trumpet and working on his band music. He makes an effort to hunt down songs that he thinks would work well with the band and tries playing them himself before bringing them to the band director to show him. He is also receiving this recognition for being incredibly helpful to the new band director Mr. Krummel, as he settles into the new position. He is always willing to answer questions about previous procedures/expectations and it has helped Mr Krummel make this transition smooth. Thank you Kason.

Parent and community member volunteer opportunity!
We are looking for parent and community volunteers to participate on this year's District Advisory Committee. The DAC is a committee of staff, parents, and community members that meets 3 times per year. The purpose of the DAC is to share information with a variety of stakeholders in the district and engage in productive discussions regarding student, community, and school needs as viewed from various perspectives.
The meetings cover a wide range of topics including (but not limited to...) assessment data, district goals, the 5-year Strategic Plan, current initiatives by building and as a district, and current and future priorities.
The meetings will take place from 4:00 - 5:45 PM on the following dates:

Monday, April 26th
