Welcome to the Zumbrota Mazeppa PTO Homepage! We are looking forward to a great year of learning and fun for our kids. Go Cougars! Our PTO serves to enhance educational environment of our school. We fund and organize a variety of educational enrichment programs, social events and community service projects. Additionally, we support our teachers and staff with hospitality throughout the year. We invite you to be involved! Whether you have a little time or a lot, whether you work a full-time job or are a stay-at-home parent, there is something for everyone. What does it take to be in the PTO?
Anyone who has a student who attends our school along with our ZM staff is automatically a member of the PTO. There are no fees, no commitment, and no prior experience necessary! Of course, we always welcome volunteers to bring ideas to the table, research and propose fundraising ideas along with executing approved ideas!
Do I have to attend EVERY meeting?
No. You can come to any or all meetings that work for you.
What happens at a PTO meeting?
We discuss student and teacher needs, get updates about school happenings, learn what's going on in classrooms from grade-level teachers and specialists, hear about PTO financials, and sometimes we even have exciting guest speakers from the community!
What is the purpose of the PTO?
The purpose of the PTO is to partners and collaborate with parents, ZM teachers and staff to enhance the student educational experience. The ZM PTO organizes fundraisers and events to raise money to benefit students and teachers. The money raised goes directly back to kids in the form of classroom materials, field trips, school assemblies, and more. ZM PTO members make decisions on how to best allocate funds and present them to the ZM PTO Board.
